Astley Bank Hotel – Photography

As Lancashire based wedding photographers we shoot weddings throughout the north west but we also travel widely.

Two weeks ago Marie and I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Vanessa & Iain at the Astley Bank Hotel in Darwin Lancashire.

It is a lovely venue which we know well having shot weddings there before.

Weather wise April is a funny month. And the day proved to be the case. Showers and sunshine. So we spent most of the day dodging the rain to shoot photographs of Vanessa & Iain, their families and friends.

The Astley Bank Hotel is perfect though. Gorgeous grounds with a large fountain. Large rooms with big windows, therefore opportunities to do natural light shots. And a nice stained glass window in the corridor.

The following images show the use of natural light photographs of the bride, the Astley Bank Hotel surroundings and of course the rain and sun.

Its a day that we enjoyed and look forward to designing their album.
