Lancashire Manor Hotel Christmas Wedding
The Lancashire Manor Hotel is one of our favourite local wedding venues. We were there several times during 2014, the last being the wedding of Francesca and John, who were married the day after Boxing Day.
We met Frankie and her bridesmaids at her Aunties house. The house was buzzing with christmas cheer, and to add to the excitement Frankie had some of her relatives over from Italy. From there we headed off to meet with John over at the church, St Patricks Catholic Church in Newton Le Willows.
Frankie and her Brother Carlo, followed by her son Lucas, niece Ava and her sisters Danielle & Tizi down the aisle. It was a lovely relaxed service due in part to the Deacon who was funny and very obliging, nevertheless when the service needed to be taken seriously, it was.
After the ceremony we made our way over to Lancashire Manor. Once again the staff providing outstanding service, not only to the guests and Francesca and John, but with us too.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t make sue of the lovely grounds as the ground was quite slippy in parts due to the hard frost over night. However, the Great Hall provides you with a great back drop for some beautiful images. Naturally the challenge for us as photographers is trying to capture images in very low light and also maintain the ambience. That means using off camera flash, triggered by radio and occasionally using video light. No pressure then!
After the photo shoot with Frankie & John and their families the reception got under way in the Great Hall. Right from the start when Frankie and John entered the Hall, greeted by their guests, the atmosphere was electric. This was due to the singer and DJ, Wayne Farrow http://www.waynefarrow.co.uk who had everyone standing, holding hands and singing Amore by Dean Martin. I would really recommend Wayne he is an outstanding entertainer. Yes everyone loved it, especially the Italian contingent. It then moved on to Tom Jones with ‘Kiss’, and backing singers, Frankie’s sisters, Danielle and Tizi, doing a great job. Finally finished off with John doing a full version of “Gangam Syle” This was a great start to a fantastic evening for all.
A lovely couple, we had a great day and lots fun with them and their families. This was a perfect end to our 2014 wedding season. We wish them every happiness.
