Houghwood Golf Course Wedding Photography

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Victoria & Peter.  Their ceremony took place at All Saints Church in the village of Rainford near Liverpool.  With great excitement Victoria got ready at her childhood home, not far from the church.  Peter and the boys got ready at Victoria & Peters home, again not that far from the church. The sun shone all day despite the poor weather forecast all day.  I seem to always talking about the weather in these blogs. But it does make  difference not only to how I shoot the weddings but also how people feel on the day.

All Saints Church is quite a beautiful building and the ceremony went as expected.  Naturally the boys arrived first.  They arrived in a VW Camper van, as did Victoria, dad and the bridesmaids. All things VW.  And there seems to be a going trend that these camper vans are being used.  But they look great.

Following the ceremony it was off to the Houghwood Golf Club  for their reception.  It really is a venue that I would recommend. First there is the beauty of the surroundings, overlooking the bay of Liverpool in the distance.  Well kept green, trees and colour what more could I want as a backdrop, oh a lake, yes it has one of those too.  But also great staff, always on hand, friendly and approachable.  They really do pull out all of the stops.  Even the local golfers were friendly, shouting congratualtions and joking around with us and the bride and groom.  Then as the sun was setting most people took their drinks onto the beautiful balcony looking out toward the bay.

Anyway here are a couple of images from Victoria & peters day.  Thanks again.
