St Georges Chorley & Ferraris Country House Hotel Preston

Looks like spring has arrived at last. Last Saturday we had a beautiful day photographing the wedding of Helen & Sebastian. They are a really great couple, very much in love and very easy to photograph.

Arriving at Helens parents house we were greeted by her parents and Ellena, soon to be Helens step daughter. She was very excited and told us all about her dress and how she was looking forward to the wedding.  We made a start on the detail shots then soon moved onto Helens Mum, Dad and brother Paul then the bridesmaids. It was such a lovely day we managed to spend a bit of time in the garden.

Time was getting on. Helen was almost ready and it was time to pop the cork on the bubbly. Dad gets all the best jobs!

Helen looked amazing, and you could see how happy she was, she just couldn’t stop smiling. We got some beautiful shots of her before we had to head off to the church.

We met Helen a few weeks ago but unfortunatley Sebastian couldn’t make the meeting so we only got to meet him about half an hour before the ceremony. Even before we met him, we knew he was a romantic, by the beautiful gift and card he sent to her the morning of the wedding. The gift arrived with a bag full of fresh rose petals.

Over at the beautiful St Georges Church Chorley John spent a few minutes with Sebastian and his best man before Helen arrived.

After the ceremony we headed off to the beautiful setting of Ferraris Country House Hotel which was about 35 minutes away. Everything was going so well until we got onto the M6 and the traffic was at a complete standstill. Sadly there had been a very bad accident and we had to find an alternative route. (Thank goodness for the sat nav). We arrived at Ferraris 40 minutes late but we still managed to get there before the guests and more importantly the Bride & Groom.  Despite the late arrival of everyone, the staff at Ferraris were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure we still had enough time to get the family & friend photos.

After the meal we spent some time outside in the lovely grounds with Helen & Sebastian. Here is Helen with some of her Uni friends.

Ferrari’s is a beautiful venue, a hotel and restaurant named after the family that own and run it.  They are also licenced for wedding ceremonys. The image below shows the purpose built building where the ceremony takes place. It also shows the joy and happiness of Helen and Sebastian!

We really enjoyed our day with Helen & Sebastian and would like to thank Helen’s Mum & Dad, Sebastians Mum and many of their family & friends for their kind words (thanks Ray for the drink at the end of the evening).  One final thanks to the staff at Ferraris for being so patient due to the late arrival of us all.
