Rookery Hall Cheshire Wedding

The wedding of Michelle & Andrew Wilson at The beautiful Rookery Hall, Nantwich, Cheshire

We arrived at Rookery Hall around 10.30 on a dry but overcast day and had time to walk around the beautiful grounds of Rookery Hall which is an Elizabethan-style mansion located near the village of Worleston in Cheshire. Dating originally from 1816 but extensively altered in the late 19th century, the hall is listed at grade II.

Looking very relaxed we met the groom and his 8 groomsmen in the bar. We had some fun at the front of Rookery Hall and attracted quite a crowd of onlookers.

Time was getting on so we headed back to see if Michelle was ready for her formal shots. She looked lovely and surprisingly very calm even though she was running 15 minutes late.

This is their lovely daughter Chloe wearing the dress that her grandma made for her.

Michelle’s brother Tom walked her down the aisle, he looked so proud of his big sis who was very tearful at this stage.

I love this shot, Michelle has some great expressions this is my favourite

After the ceremony, we spent around 40 minutes getting the various group combination shots then we let all the guests go. We started on the bridal portrait shots with Michelle and Andrew all the time watching the rain clouds drawing in. We managed to get the shots before the rain came.

We stayed for the all important father of the bride and best man speeches.

And finally the first dance.

We enjoyed the day and everyone made us feel very welcome, especially the Rookery Hall staff.  I would recommend this as a wedding venue to anyone.
